Friends, I hope to see you this Thursday at the Crocker for what promises to be a spectacular evening of literary, performing and fine arts.
From the event websites:
“”U-Nite,” which stands for “University Night,” will be a blowout celebration of the arts, featuring original works from more than 30 faculty members from Sacramento State’s College of Arts and Letters. This faculty arts showcase will include live music, dance, and theater performances, photography, design, art, and film presentations, and poetry and prose readings. Created by Sac State faculty member Elaine Gale, the evening will fill the Crocker with lively, unforgettable events, and provide a look at the arts that provokes ideas, creativity, dialogue and unity. U-Nite will also serve as the kickoff event for Sacramento State’s annual Festival of the Arts, to be held April 14-21. Sacramento State’s President Alexander Gonzalez and the Crocker’s Mort and Marcy Friedman Director Lial A. Jones will offer a special welcome to Sacramento State alumni, faculty, staff, and students.”
